Common House Buying Blunders Brought to you by Pioneer Urban

Whether you’re buying a modest BHK arrangement in the ‘downtown’ areas, or sketching up a couple of acres for the archetypal mansion, the mistakes you make while house-buying can set you back immensely. Even in today’s times of fast-track procedures, with houses being bought and sold in a matter of days, buyers are prone to making mistakes, perhaps even correspondingly costly ones. Although the accursed blunder of ‘If I don’t buy it now, I’ll never get to buy it.’ is the most pervasive of factors, there are other mistakes too, mistakes you may commit unconsciously, mistakes that could turn a rosy housewarming into a huge fiasco...

·         Buying The Wrong House: Always have your priorities set. Do you want a house that comes with a spanking garage or would you rather prefer one with a quiet study? Moving in with a family, you should also be aware of their needs and wants and decide your choice accordingly. You may have purchased a house with a brilliant view of the outskirts and a lascivious master bedroom, but the single bathroom would mean that the entire family would be forced to share, causing much inconvenience. Instant prediction: We wager a year, possibly two, before you pack up and move out. So, always ensure that you know exactly what you’re looking for in your house.

·         Look around, smell the roses (or lack thereof!): Size up the community you live in, facilities offered and whether you and your family could live comfortably there or not. Pay attention to transport facilities, schools, hospitals, grocery stores, and most importantly, the neighbourhood.

·         Getting Fleeced By Dubious Advisors: Your agent, lawyer and financial advisor is your weapon during home-buying. Bear in mind that this weapon could be effectively turned against you if he doesn’t, or refuses to understand your requirements, not to mention financial constraints. Ask around for trusted officials, take help from your friends and acquaintances who have had successful home buying experiences. That should sail you through.
